The Power of Play workshop introduces the importance of play and lays the foundation for creating a safe, healthy, and respectful environment for youth. In the Playworks Power of Play training, we give all teachers and school staff the introductory tools needed to create safe and inclusive play opportunities for all students, in the classroom and in recess play spaces. The training includes a discussion of the various barriers youth may face and how adults can help youth navigate and overcome these challenges. Participants walk away understanding how to select and initiate games that support the physical, social, and emotional development of your students. Come dressed in active wear and be prepared to play like a kid!
