Holiday Ideas

It’s hard to believe the holiday season is upon us.  Sensory experiences are heightened this time of year—the smell of cookies and spices, the sight of candles, cards, and gifts, the sound of bells, music, and crackling fires, the taste of hot apple cider and pies, and the special feeling of sharing family traditions with loved ones.  School days are full of choir concerts, plays, and other special events.  As wonderful as this sounds, it leaves very little time to fit in those extra science experiments, crafts, and stories, etc.  So…TCMU recommends sending home ideas and activities that parents can complete with the whole family, include some in your weekly newsletters, or use them in the classroom!
