Children under five can explore 6,000 square feet and seven exhibits in The Children’s Museum of the Upstate's Spartanburg facility, along with daily programming and special events. Fulfilling our mission to spark a lifelong passion for curiosity and learning through play, the museum aligns specifically with best practices in the field of early childhood education, featuring hands-on exhibits and daily programming to encourage lots of cooperative, physical play intended to prepare children for kindergarten. The featured exhibits are also specific to Spartanburg's landmarks, culture, and community, and include a hospital exhibit, a water table with replicas of the Pacolet and Tyger Rivers, and a treehouse hosting replicas of South Carolina's native plants and birds.
